Fonseka's Coin Collection
This blog is about my personal coin collection I started with a few coins when I was a kid in the 1990s. Over the years the collection has grown to fill a small album.
Here is a video on my collection. Subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos.
I would like to expand my collection in the future.
More on the Web:
1) http://coins.lakdiva.org/ ----- very good collection and information about Sri Lankan coins.
hello dear friend, I have a coin the year is 1119 the logo have two danger at the middle and at left right got two hen If You like to coin I can give you more details Thank you.
First of all I want you to tell that your blog is amazing, giving a detailed information and this is the one I was searching for a long time... Nice work... Keep it up Man...!
I have a great collection of old coins which belong to 18th, 19th centuries (1701 - 1899) and I'm thinking about to sell them for a better price. A few things I want you to ask regarding this... 1. Can you tell me a proper way to clean my old copper coins which are covered with some kind of greenish rusts... 2. Where can I find the best market prices for theses old coins...? 3. Are there any problems or restrictions to sell these types old coins...? 4. where can I sell them for a best price...?
Hi! Appreciate your positive feedback. As for your question number one you can google "cleaning old copper coins" and find methods to clean copper coins. I guess the most important thing is NOT to use polishing agents like brasso. For questions 2 and 4 you can ask from several coin dealers and then compare or even browse the web(ebay) to get an idea about the price. I don't think it is illegal to sell coins INSIDE Sri Lanka but when moving them out of the country may be tricky.
Hello Friend, I just followed your advice and I've found out most of the websites sugest not to clean the old coins as they devalue its actual value... If so what do you suggest me to do to clean my old coins...?
I’m going to read this. I’ll be sure to come back. thanks for sharing. and also This article gives the light in which we can observe the reality. this is very nice one and gives indepth information. thanks for this nice article... coinmarketcap
