United States of America

25 Cents (Quarter Dollar/ Washington Quarter)

This is a 1969 quarter, famously known as the "Washington Quarter".

Mint marks D, S, P ("P" mintmark omitted on Philadelphia Mint issues before 1980). Found under the intersection of the branches on the reverse until 1964, later issues on lower part of obverse to the right of Washington's neck. (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_quarter)

The above is a newer quarter. 1998. It is more detailed compared to the 69 quarter which is worn off.

Note the letter "P" near the pony tail of the 98 coin compared with the letter "D" of the 69 coin.

The worst part about the Quarter is according to Wikipedia there is no Silver in the coins after 1965 which is pretty sad because it would have added more value to my two quarters.

All my American coin value is less than a Dollar makes me even sadder.
